The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed concerning the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area daily. The provider level developed for intervention encounters a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out sassa status programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to allow the servicing of all consumers and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
